Dr. Amie B. Gregory, D.C., Chiropractor in San Carlos, CA
After having a career in the legal field, a boxing injury made her aware of the health benefits of chiropractic. When training as an amateur boxer, she began to have wrist, low back and elbow pain. A local chiropractor began treatments and her physical problems diminished. The natural process of healing without medication or surgery sparked her interest in chiropractic, anatomy, physiology. She first became a Certified Licensed Massage Therapist, but wanted to help people further and enrolled in chiropractic school after being told that she had a natural ability with body work.
Dr. Gregory majored in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. Shortly thereafter, she became interested in the legal field and obtained a paralegal degree. She worked in the legal field for over 12 years before entering the health field.
Dr. Gregory graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California. During her chiropractic education, she studied several different adjusting techniques, soft tissue therapies, body mechanic and ergonomic seminars. She felt that mastering several chiropractic modalities was important since each person is unique and may require different methods of healing. She is a former boxer, softball player and has trained for triathlons. This has given her the understanding of the demands of peak athletic performance as well as acheiving optimal physical health.
Dr. Gregory’s intuition, diversity, sense of humor, kindness, resourcefulness and intelligence not only allow her to be an excellent doctor who gets results, but enables her patients to feel comfortable and understood while obtaining their optimal health goals.
